Emergency

responding in times of crises

When crisis strikes, urgent resources are ready, and often prepositioned, to reach areas in need as quickly as possible through ADRA’s global network and partners. Funds, materials, and personnel are coordinated through ADRA’s country offices nearest to the disaster so plans can be put into action immediately and appropriate relief supplies reach the areas hardest hit.

DZUD

DZUD Emergency Response

We responded to a Dzud!

Dzud was challenging for all herders, but they all managed to survive. We made every effort to assist them as well. ADRA Mongolia reached out to 150 most vulnerable herder households in the two (2) soums of Bayan-Ulgii (Bugat and Sagsai) and Ider soum in Zavkhan provinces. The Agency transferred 300’000 Tugrugs ($85) to the bank accounts to buy livestock feeds such as fodder and hay to survive the harsh winter. The fund is being provided by ADRA International in partnership with ADRA Asia and Mongolia Mission of Seventh-day Adventists.

Our Impact
