My name is Algaa Nyamjav. I am 52 years old. I am a directory board member and health education trainer of “Maanit Budargana” cooperative. Our cooperative was established in 2008. Our cooperative had had no previous knowledge about gardening before I became its member. We could only get imported vegetables from China because of its lower price. We could either buy it or have nothing. Nowadays with the project support our cooperative members grow and cultivate plants. They cover their own consumption and sell vegetables for their income. The soum community feels safe about their local food. Except some preserved vegetables all vegetables being sold in the market are grown in the soum. I am really happy to see these changes in our community. After the cooperation had bankrupted I missed my friends and colleagues who I had worked with. The project provided us many useful trainings.
